American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Conroe is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Conroe is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I’m not sure why this place has so many low reviews. Everytime we go over the past years they have been nothing but kind and offer us additional donuts after we already were given our total which never fluctuates regardless of how much they give extra. The man and woman that work there are both kind and try their hardest to give everyone I’ve seen walk in a positive experience! Give this place a try!

I have been here plenty of times with great service so what happened to me today has discouraged me from ever coming to this establishment again. I’m Muslim and cannot eat pork so I asked for a plain egg and cheese croissant (which the owner has given me plenty of times). When I noticed that my breakfast sandwich did in fact have bacon in it, I asked if she could give me a new one without Bacon since it had already contaminated the original sandwich. She took it out and threw it into the bag and started shouting at me in another language. I’m more than sure I was even overcharged as well so I won’t be coming back unfortunately.

I don’t really rate places online but this one showed genuine hospitality, fast service, and a clean restaurant, I go there often and they’re always kind to me. I haven’t had a bad experience in all the times I’ve went. I love their kolaches and how organized their menu and food presentation is. The couple running the place are amazing people, I was short 2 cents and as I went to go back to my car to get that change they not only forgave it, but gave me a doughnut out of their kindness. I had a rough night so seeing their kindness towards me really boosted my mood. Overall I couldn’t settle for anything less than a 5 star rating.

I wish I could give zero this place. EXTREMELY rude old lady at counter. Charged me extra MULTIPLE TIMES and forced me to buy more than what I needed. One time she yelled at me refused to sell when I asked for just one donut, which is ridiculous. Put extra donuts in the bag without saying and charged me more. They probably won’t realize their mistake until customers stop coming. Otherwise, they’ll keep taking their customers for granted. Please don’t go especially with your kids. Your kids gonna see the ugliest manner.

Stopped here this morning for kolaches and donuts. Will be back again soon! The jalapeno sausage kolaches were so fresh with a large sausage inside and amazing, fluffy dough around it. Warmed to perfection and a great size. We also bought a dozen donuts which were so soft and fresh.
